The Albert Athletic Club, Inc (Club Albert Athletique, Inc.) was operated by Raoul Payette from 1938 until about 1960 (ostensibly it was a pool room).  When the chips were ordered it was located at 2565 Ontario Street East.  The chip order card gives the date 6 June 1938--six months later on 4 Dec. 1938 the place was raided.  At the bottom of this page is a listing of both the Albert Athletic Club, Inc. and Raoul Payette.  The following are both English and French reports of the police raid on the club:
